Opening their home to students of Parelli and The Chi Institute
The Parkhusts first encountered Parelli Natural Horsemanship in the 2001. At that time Bill was president of Marion Therapeutic, and a benefactor had donated a "Parelli horse". This captured their interest and launched Claudia into her first clinic, and subsequently their first Savvy Conference in Colorado. Being exposed to "a self-empowering program" rang true for Claudia, a spiritual teacher; and Bill, a forward thinking, retired corporate executive. They were very impressed that Parelli encouraged teachings that went far beyond the physical nature of the horse. And saw firsthand how people improve their own lives through horsemanship and in doing so bring about a connection and personal growth that lasts a lifetime. Bill and Claudia were both captivated by the people—by the warmth and friendliness that drew them into the Parelli program. Willing to step out of the box, the Parkhursts saw the value of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, as well as the advantages of Eastern Veterinarian Medicine offered by The Chi Institute. They decided to open their home to people who came to study these programs. Since that early start, several hundred students from the Parelli Program and The Chi Institute have enjoyed the comforts of home at the Parkhurst house. Name a country and someone from there has been here: Germany, Zimbabwe, India, China, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, England, Israel, Canada…and just about every state in the Union. To one and all, the Parkhurst home is an open invitation to come, sit down, relax, and enjoy. In the main house, there are two large well-appointed bedrooms. The Queen Room has a queen-size bed, and The Blue Room has twin beds with an en suite bath. In addition there is "The Nook", a private setting with a pull out sofa. And then there is "The Happy House", a 2 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home available long term. Horse boarding available. Contact Bill Parkhurst below for details.
